Jan Goodwin
s the Executive Director of the Educational Retirement Board. While at ERB, she has focused on issues of transparency, sustainability and accountability. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University (B.A.) and the New York University Stern School of Business (M.B.A.). Ms. Goodwin is a C.P.A. and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She has attained the CEBS designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She was also an adjunct lecturer for the New York University Real Estate Masters Program. Ms. Goodwin served as Secretary of the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department from January 2003 to March 2008. send email
Jeff Riggs
is the Deputy Director at ERB and is responsible for assisting the Director and Board in the business of the Educational Retirement system. Duties include budget, human resources, actuarial position of the fund, and general office operations. After serving in the US Army, Jeff received a BBA from New Mexico State University; an MBA from New Mexico Highlands University and is a Certified Governmental Financial Manager. send email
Bob Jacksha
is the Chief Investment Officer for ERB. He joined ERB in January of 2007. His experience includes 25 years in the investment industry, most recently with the New Mexico State Investment Council. Bob holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designations. He received an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bemidji State University. send email
Vincent Lujan
is the Member Services Manager. He administers all programs that have a direct contact with the member. This includes the retiree payroll unit, customer service bureau, refund unit, retirement processing and counseling as well as post retirement. Vincent most recently worked for the NM Department of Workforce Solutions. Vincent has over 20 years customer service experience. He received his BBA with an emphasis in accounting from UNM. send email
Kathy A. Webb
is the Benefits Bureau Chief with the Member Services Department, currently overseeing the Customer Service Department with ERB. She has been with the Educational Retirement Board since 2000. During her tenure here she has also served as one of the core members responsible for implementing the IRIS (integrated retirement information system) project. Kathy has over 19 years of experience in retirement counseling and customer service. Her past experiences include over 13 years of service with the Public Employees' Retirement Association. send email
Deenie Esquibel
is the Outreach Specialist at ERB. She is responsible for retirement seminars and publications for ERB members. She has over fourteen years of experience in training and development, and has worked as a training specialist at Microsoft Corporation, AT&T Wireless, Starbucks Coffee Company and most recently NM Environment Department. She holds a BFA in Theatre Production Management from Arizona State University. Prior to concentrating exclusively in training and instructional design she worked as a professional production stage manager. send email
Chris Schatzman
is the ERB’s General Counsel and is responsible for providing legal counsel to the Board and the agency’s management and staff. Chris received his law degree from the University of New Mexico and his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Texas at El Paso. He is admitted to the bar in New Mexico, Colorado and California. Prior to attending law school, he worked in the banking and construction industries. send email
Bob Westervelt
is the Chief Financial Officer for the NMERB and is responsible for the Financial Division. A lifelong New Mexico resident, Bob comes to ERB with over twenty years experience in governmental, commercial, and public accounting. Bob earned both his Bachelors degree in Accounting and his Masters in Management from the University of New Mexico, and is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Governmental Financial Manager. send email
Clara Mares
is the Administrative Services Manager at ERB, responsible for human resources, payroll, and records. Throughout her tenure with state government, Clara comes to ERB with twenty years experience in human resources, payroll and finance. She has also worked on special projects with IT in testing to help implement various software packages. Clara is currently working on the development of a training module on SHARE for Time & Labor, she also serves on SPO rules sub-committee and SHARE reports committee. send email
Greg Trujillo
is the IT Manager at ERB and has been with ERB since 2003. He is responsible for the oversight and strategic planning of information systems at ERB. Greg has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Network Management from Westwood College and is currently pursuing his MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UNM. send email
